The role of EuroPACE
EuroPACE was coordinator of this project.
Summary: Continuous training and education has become an important issue in today's competitive and rapidly evolving information society. Companies are in need of training methods that are flexible and cost-effective. The use of new information and communication technologies (ICT) seems to be the most appropriate way of optimizing both training programmes, and cost structure and makes it possible to develop and/or make training materials available to the companies in a flexible and demand-driven way. Within the TIDE project EuroPACE offered support and training in the effective use of ICT for training . On a national level, EuroPACE developed, in close collaboration with several partner companies, a methodology to provide new answers to existing needs in vocational training. On the transnational level of the TIDE project EuroPACE teamed up with four other European partners in order to collect and exchange the results from the national projects.
