EFQUEL
Network
EFQUEL - European Foundation for Quality in eLearning
is a new initiative from three successful European eLearning projects: EQO (coordinated by the University of Duisburg-Essen-Germany), Seel, (coordinated by Eifel) and Seequel (coordinated by the MENON Network). They approach quality in e-learning from different and complementary perspectives and develop full-scale services for all educational fields, regional contexts and target groups.
The Foundation is built on principles of dialogue and inclusiveness to promote excellence and innovation to achieve Learning Europe.
Objectives and Activities.
The main objectives are:
- to promote the European diversity of quality approaches and services in the field of learning, education and training,
- to connect results and concepts on European e-learning quality developed in three successful projects,
- to broaden the discussion and discourse on E-Learning quality and to provide a sustainable infrastructure as a single entry point for E-Learning quality.
EFQUEL will provide support, transparency, open participation and leadership for a broad range of topics. The purpose of the foundation is to involve actors in a European community of users and experts to share experiences on how eLearning can be used to strengthen individual, organisational, local and regional development, digital and learning literacy, and promote social cohesion.
Who are the members?
The foundation is coordinated by the MENON Network EIG. Currently it has 41 members since its launch date on 30 June 2005.
The role of EuroPACE ivzw in EFQUEL?
As an important European Network, EuroPACE is one of the 18 EFQUEL founding members.
