Summary: The S2-NET project has been approved by the EC in the framework of the Community Vocational Training Programme Leonardo da Vinci. In the project three European networks: E.F. ODL (as coordinator), EDEN and EuroPACE have joined forces with the seven national ODL networks from Portugal, Italy, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK and Norway in order to further stimulate the use of e-learning in vocational training. This project wants to encourage the use of e-learning in vocational training for all the actors involved, ODL professionals as well as the broader community of practitioners and local policy makers, thus producing awareness of the possibilities e-learning offers and preventing old and new forms of social exclusion. The overall aim of the S²-NET project is to innovate the methods of training and education through the use of technology-based learning and to contribute to the diffusion of good practice for the use of ICT in the field of vocational training. This aim will be divided into several objectives, basically into four different aspects: the stimulation of professional networks, the installation of social dialogue concerning e-learning, the encouragement to treat social and equality aspects, and the attention for permanent dissemination.
Role EuroPACE:
- Coordination of the research work package
- Development of a database for learning materials and references
- Development and hosting of the S2Net website.
