Role EuroPACE: EuroPACE ivzw coordinated the evaluation and the testing phase, involving 12 universities from its network in the pilot benchmarking process and disseminated the project outcomes through its network.
Summary: The UNIQUe project aims at enhancing the reform process of European higher education institutions by creating, testing and launching an eLearning quality label for ICT use in higher education. In this way UNIQUe aims to facilitate the improvement of higher education eLearning-related processes and management. The UNIQUE label will be built starting from the Programme accreditation for teChnology-Enhanced Learning (CEL), successfully developed by the European Foundation for Management Development, and will adapt this certification scheme to all eLearning related activities that European Universities need to enhance in order to increase their efficiency, quality and attractiveness to the world.
Project results: The UNIQUe project was successfully completed and the first universities and institutes awarded. The UNIQUe Quality Label for the innovative and creative use of ICT in higher education was officially launched on Friday, June 12th, 2009 during the EDEN Conference, in Gdansk, Poland. Institutions that are interested in getting the label can access the UNIQUe service through the EFQUEL secretariat or by following this link: http://unique.qualityfoundation.org
