Function: Research Associate

Background: Katrin Bijnens holds a MA degree in Communication Sciences (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven). Her thesis dealt with e-commerce in the retail industry. She then enrolled in a bachelor in law at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, which she completed successfully. She started working as marketing assistant
for Peugeot Belgique-Luxembourg, dealing mainly with CRM- projects. After a year, she was appointed as
research associate at AVNet/EuroPACE, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, where she's currently working. She works mainly on the European project REVE, which deals with real virtual Erasmus. She also works on consultancy projects (e.g. a benchmarking study for Laurea) and she organises the external communication for EuroPACE (newsletter, website).
